Google Earth is a perfect tool to see your house on Google Street View. You can zoom in to see bridges, schools, your neighboorhood, landmarks, and more. Or you may just look at your street from a broader perspective.
The best thing about Street View is that you will feel like you are there!
Now, it is time to get some information on how you can use Open Street View from different devices.
Open Street View for Computers
- Open Google Earth on your computer.
- Search for a location that you want to see from the map.
- Zoom in to the area for a detailed view.
- Click Pegman which is on the bottom right of your computer screen
- Click on the highlighted area.
How to Use Open Street View with Your Computer?
Want to run a new area? There is a white arrow that appears onscreen; click on it to move the desired direction.
Wish to change your view? Then, all you need to do is to click and drag your computer screen.
Wondering how to return to the north-facing view mode? There is a compass button on the bottom right of your screen, so click it.
Moreover, Blue circles mean that you can see the colored area in the Street View, and orange circles indicate that you are allowed to see inside a building!
If you would like to remove an image from Street View, you can fill out the form that opens when you click on the “Report a Problem” button on the right corner of the web browser and submit it to Google Street View.
To exit from Street View and go back to real life, click on X in the top left of your screen.
Open Street View for Android
- Open Google Earth app on your Android device.
- Search for a place or tap on a location.
- There appears a “Knowledge Card” at the bottom that includes information about the place.
- To view the place in more detail, zoom in.
- Tap Pegman on the bottom left of your application screen.
- Click on a highlighted area to see the place.
How to Use Open Street View with Your Android Device?
Want to hide knowledge card? You should just click on “Clear” button.
Wish to run a new area? There is a large white arrow that appears onscreen; tap it to move on to the new desired direction.
